You Are Here. Now.

Navigating new territory, understanding varied terrain, exploring far-off places, or studying our own backyards—maps provide an interpretation of a location so that we may explore it in whatever way suits us.

For a brand or a business, a map of a property provides customers with a wayfinding system; for some locations, a map is crucial to getting the most out of an experience; from a college to a summer camp to a ski resort to a village, maps never stop providing a valued service. And despite the use of digital versions, there’s something to be said for a physical map that you can hold in your hands, mark up with a pen, or even put in a frame if it holds a special memory.

At the end of the day, our goal is to create something that helps the people that are using it feel comfortable, improving their experience, and adding to their relationship with the place—further reinforcing or adding dimension to the brand.

We love the design, the opportunity, and the combination of various elements that need to come together for a map to be effective. Over time, we’ve designed and created our fair share of maps for clients—each unique, each for a different audience and purpose.

Explore some of our favorites below.

Attitash

The slopes of Attitash are a whole lot of fun in winter, but the good times don’t stop there. This map highlights the many attractions that are in full swing during Attitash’s summer operations. From water slides to mountain coasters, it’s a gravity-fueled paradise under the sun.

Black Fly Challenge

Every Black Fly Challenge racer wants to bring home a piece of swag to commemorate their event. But how do you show just how epic those 40 miles of gravel grinding were? A sporty map illustration designed for merch sure does the trick!

High Falls Gorge

Our work with High Falls Gorge has spanned many years. Over this time, the map we designed for them has evolved alongside their ever-growing destination. Recent updates reflect their new wheelchair accessibility for the waterfall walk, new trails, and a riverside wedding venue.

Indian Lake

Nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks is a place of seemingly undiscovered beauty: Indian Lake. The town covers a huge area of land, and as such, required an unconventional approach of angling the terrain. Through a rustic aesthetic, the map hones in on unique topography and attractions, most notably the stunning lakes.

Lake George Expedition Park

Romp, stomp, and explore! This map gives visitors a colorful glimpse into all of the adventures that lay ahead, making it easy and fun to chart your way.

North Warren

Covering a huge swath of Warren County, this map has a lot to say in a finite amount of space. Above all else, it serves to shed light on the many unique attractions in this region of the Adirondacks and shows folks just how easy it is to string them together during a weekend getaway.

Oneonta

A vibrant town in central New York State packs a whole lot of character. It’s the perfect place to settle down and start a family or visit on your next road trip. As part of a much larger rebrand that spanned everything from bus wraps to town signage, this map was designed to show just how special Oneonta truly is.

Schoharie County

This rural county in New York State is blossoming with unique attractions just waiting to be found. From the longest covered bridge to the largest cave system in the state, this map illustrates the many wonders and exciting discoveries that await.

Mount Snow

Like every esteemed ski resort, Mount Snow had a great trail map but needed another helpful visual aid: a property map. In a minimal style that fuses Mount Snow’s vibrant brand with easy wayfinding, this property map sticks to the essentials and makes it simple to connect the dots.

Stone Gate Resort

A beautiful resort along the shores of Lake George was in need of a comprehensive map to showcase its property and give visitors an easy-to-follow lay of the land. From a sandy beach to fully renovated cabins, it’s a little slice of paradise that you can fold up and keep in your pocket.

Glens Falls Hospital

Being such an important asset to the communities in and near the Adirondacks, it was paramount for these maps to be easily navigable and understood. Beyond that, they’ve been designed to seamlessly fit within the Hospital’s visual system.

Yakima Greenway

When in Yakima, Washington, you won’t want to miss the Yakima Greenway: a vibrant trail system connecting many natural attractions along the Yakima River. The large land area that comprises the Yakima Greenway required a unique design challenge, solved by balancing accuracy with sharp design and easy interpretation.
