On-Mountain, On-Point
On-mountain photo and video shoots have become one of Tramp’s most unique offerings, a service that we have taken the time to hone and perfect throughout years of travel to various resort locations. With our trusted team of professionals, from producers to videographers, make-up to lighting, shot-scouts to photographers, we seek out the best talent, the best locations, and the best shots to bring each resort to life.
Our goal is to connect with your audience, to speak to them and remind them why they have to ski/ride at your mountain, why they can’t possibly miss out (hello FOMO), and why money spent on the mountain will be well worth it. We listen closely to the client to fully understand how they envision their resort to appear on billboards, social media ads, and more so that together we can achieve success. To do that, we must dial in our process, dot all the i’s, and cross all the t’s to ensure that every moment spent on the mountain results in brand awareness, sales increases, reach, and more on the back end.

Prepare so you can pivot: Our team has become masters of preparation leading up to our on-mountain shoots, so that inevitably when terrain, weather conditions, and equipment cause us to shift, we’re ready with backup plans at a moment’s notice!
Don’t be a hero: Our team experienced some of the coldest temperatures while on-mountain this season, most notable—negative 24 degrees at the base of Whiteface Mountain! We learned quickly that there is no shame in packing (and using) extra hand and toe warmers for your team, talent, and camera equipment (especially battery packs), so everyone stays warm and in working order.
Scouting is key to location success: Whenever possible, our team has taken advantage of extra pre-shoot scouting runs on-mountain to become comfortable with the different trails, terrain, and talent setups. This includes getting key insight from the client re: daylight hours, the best side of the mountain to shoot on, specific do’s or don’ts for locations, etc. This allows our team to visualize our setups ahead of time and save valuable time with talent while on the mountain.
Bring on the snacks: Lots of snacks. And a little (parent-approved) pocket candy for the youngest of talent.
