In Good Company.

The path to BCorp certification wasn't easy.

Hard things never are, right?

Through the application process we learned a lot about ourselves, our company, and how important it is to treat our employees and our clients well.

When people ask about it we are still learning how to explain it. And when asked why we became certified the best way to answer is that it just felt right.

As we continue to learn from and about the BCorp community, it's been wonderful to realize just how many other companies have taken the same steps.

Every Tuesday we have an in-office work day.  It's not mandatory but it is encouraged.  We try to have critiques or naming exercises on these days so we get that in-person, back-and-forth that we miss when we do it through Zoom.

This week, Alli, our baker extraordinaire, brought in bagels made with King Arthur Flour. It was delicious when topped with yummy cream cheese from Tillamook Creamery.

To prepare for one of our whiteboard critiques, we cleaned off the board with some Seventh Generation and Method cleaning spray.

We sat on the couch and in chairs with comfy pillows we grabbed off of Etsy.

I looked around the room and noticed Derek's United by Blue T-shirt, Sean's Patagonia vest, and my own Olukai flip-flops.

Rob had on Warby Parker glasses and Mik was sporting her Toms.

Sipping water from a Klean Kanteen and Bigelow Tea from a mug, our staff talked through taglines for a wealth management company.

There was a lot of laughter and jokes and ultimately some fantastic options to share with our client.

It was great to be in such good company.
